The Black Butte Ranch Police Department offers a free Vacation House Check (VHC) program as part of our services to the Black Butte Ranch homeowners. We recommend that you first read our policy on the program below to gain an understanding of what our officers will do. If you decide that you are interested in the VHC program, follow the steps below to sign up.

Steps to sign-up:

1. Log into you Homeowners Portal at Home - Black Butte Ranch
2. Navigate to the “Departments” dropdown across the top and then hover over “BBR Police Department” with your cursor.
3. Once you hover over BBR Police Department, a menu will fly out to the side allowing you to select “Vacation House Check”
4. Complete the Vacation House Check Form as thoroughly as possible. This form will be automatically sent to the Police Department and added to our VHC list.

During the dates that you selected, Black Butte Ranch Police Officers will randomly check on your house by walking around the home. It is important that you read our policy “318 -Vacation House Checks” so you understand what our officers will and will not do when they are checking your home.

It is also important that your contact information is up to date on with the Corporation and your portal. In the event we discover a problem at your home, or need to request your permission to check the interior of your home, we will call the phone numbers that are on file with the Ranch to contact you.
